On August 1-2, the Dynamo Beach Sports Center will host the Russian Beach Rugby Championship. 16 teams will play in the men’s team tournament, 8 teams will be represented in the women’s tournament. The matches of the first game day will start at 12.00, the second day starts at 10.00.

In 2001 Lignano Beach Rugby is once again international, with teams from Italy, Austria, England, Slovenia and Croatia.
The trophy goes to Padova Beach and is lifted by Aldo Aceto, a former italian player and coach who sadly passed away a few days ago. Rest in peace, Aldo!
In 2000 Lignano hosts again the Italian Beach Rugby Championship’s Master Final, for the first time in the beach arena on Lignano Sabbiadoro‘s beach.
Lazio is crowned male champion, and Perle Nere Padova gain female’s trophy.
In 1999, the 7th Beach Rugby Tournament in Lignano is again part of the Italian Championship. Padova Beach confirms his dominance with another win in the male tournament; second place for Leonorso Rugby Udine, qualified for Italian’s Master Final. In the female tournament, after three straight wins Red Panthers Treviso are beaten by Perle Nere Padova in the final

In july 1998 Lignano Sabbiadoro is the venue of the first Italian Beach Rugby Championship’s Master Final.
It’s a final ruled by underdogs: in the male tournament first place for Facoceri Roma over Padova Beach, in the female tournament Grazia Deledda Cagliari overcome Red Panthers Treviso.
